What is Farmers producer company ?

A legally recognized body of farmers / agriculturists with the aim to improve the standard of their living and ensure good status of their available support , income and profitability .

A farmer producer company can be formed by 10 Individuals or more or two institutions or more or by a combination of both having their business objectives as one of the following :

• > Procurement
• > Production
• > Harvesting
• > Grading
• > Pooling
• > Handling
• > Marketing
• > Selling or
• > Export

Of the primary produce of the members or import of the Goods or services for their benefits

Objectives given under section 581B

• > Production, harvesting, Procurement, grading , pooling , handling , marketing , selling , export of primary production of the members or import of goods or services for their benefits, provided that the producer company may carry on any of the activities specified in this clause either by itself or through other institution .
• > Processing includes preserving , drying, distilling , brewing, vinting , canning, and packaging of the produce of its members.
• > Manufacture, sale or supply of machinery , equipment or consumables mainly to its members.
• > Providing education on the mutual assistance principles to its members and others.
• > Rendering technical services , consultancy services , training , research and development and all other activities for the promotion of the interests of its members.
• > Generation, transmission and distribution of power , revitalization of land and water- resources, their use, conservation and communication relatable to primary produce.
• > Insurance of producers or their primary produce .
• > Promoting techniques of mutuality and mutual assistance.
• > Welfare measures or facilities for the benefits of the members as may be decided by the Board.
• > Financing of procurement , processing , marketing or other activities specified which include extending of credit facilities or any other financial services to its members

What is primary Produce ?

A produce arising from agriculture by a farmer which includes animal husbandry, floriculture, horticulture, Viticulture, pisciculture, re-vegetation, bee raising, forestry, forest products and farming plantation products, produce of handloom, handicraft and other cottage industries.

Documents required

• 1 Any 10 or more producers required
• 2 Minimum capital – Rs: 5 Lac
• 3 There should be minimum 5 directors ( Maximum 15)
• 4 It can never be converted into a public company
• 5 Pan card, Aadhar card, Passport size photograph, Email id and mobile number
• 6 Voter id/ Driving License/ Passport
• 7 Bank Statement
• 8 Company name- last word of company will be Producer company
• 9 Producer proof like- Khasra-Khatuni/ Income tax return with agriculture income / Sarpanch Letter / Any other proof that can provide person person as producer
• 10 Latest Electricity bill , Rent agreement and NOC for office address
