Social stock exchange is a platform where social enterprises and organizations that generate positive social and environmental impact can raise capital through the issuance of securities. Its purpose is to connect investors interested in supporting socially responsible initiatives with these impact focused organizations. It is a regulated and transparent market place for investors to buy and sell securities issued by social enterprises, facilitating the flow of capital towards business and projects with a social or environmental purpose.
Objectives.

- > Facilitate funding and growth of social enterprises.
- > Enabling mechanism to ensure robust standards of social impact and financial reporting .
A social enterprise can be a Not-For-Profit organization or for Profit-Social -Enterprise.
Eligibility Criteria.
- > At least 67% of the immediately preceding 3 year average of revenues comes from providing eligible activities to members of target population Or
- > At least 67% of the immediately preceding 3 year average of expenditures has been incurred for providing eligible activities to members of the target population or
- > Members of the target population to whom the eligible activities have been provided constitute at least 67% of the immediately preceding 3 year average of the total customer base
- > Not-For-Profit Organization Must be registered as Charitable Trust or societies or section 8 company .
- > Minimum age – 3 years
- > 12A and 80 G valid Registration.
- > Minimum spending of Rs: 50 Lakh in the last fiscal year and minimum funding of Rs: 10 Lac in the past financial year.
